Integration New Media (INM) is are happy to announce the immediate
availability of PDF Xtra version 2.1.1 for Mac and Windows.

Version 2.1.1 is a free upgrade for existing users of version 2.0 or 2.1,
and brings many improvements over version 2.0:

On Windows:
  - PDF Print function. Because of synchronization difficulties between
Acrobat, Director and the Windows operating system print spooler, we have
modified the printing method to give full delay control to the developer. It
is now implemented as an asynchronous method. Note that this means you must
make sure your document is open during the whole spooling procedure. If you
close your document before the spooling is over, you will generate system
errors.
  - PDF Xtra now correctly detects version 4.0 and later (not just 4.05a and
later) of Acrobat and Acrobat Reader.
  - Launching from the CD with Acrobat Reader. Machines with slower overall
performance had the following errors: "Could not launch Acrobat" and "An
internal error has occurred". A synchronization issue between Director and
Acrobat causes these errors. We have added a new transparent synchronization
feature that prevents the documents from opening before Acrobat Reader is
completely loaded.
  - In some cases, the Licensing Agreement appeared behind the projector. It
now always appears in front where the user can accept its conditions.
  - Minor bug fixes.

On Macintosh
  - Fixed the occasional situation where the PDF sprite was not refreshed
properly.
  - Fixed the cases where the License Agreement always appeared using
Acrobat Reader 5.0 (it now appears only the first time Acrobat Reader is
used).
  - Minor bug fixes.
