INM Releases New GoldenGate
Universal Database Connector

Montreal, Canada (June 14, 2001) - Integration New Media, Inc. (INM), a leader in multimedia database technology, announced today the immediate availability of GoldenGate Database Connector (GG-DBC). GG-DBC extends the abilities of rich-media online clients like Macromedia Shockwave® and Authorware® to deliver dynamic content and manage data in real-time over the Internet by connecting to existing databases.

GG-DBC developers can easily deploy web-based applications that feature more powerful, better-looking and faster user-interfaces than HTML. Since it requires scripting on the client-side only, GG-DBC significantly cuts production and maintenance costs while at the same time providing more speed, security and hassle-free operation than middleware-based solutions.

Deploy powerful applications
Because GoldenGate allows rich-media developers to connect to standard database back-ends (like Oracle®, MS SQL Server, MySQL and MS Access), it allows for much improved interfaces to data that was previously difficult to access, as in:
e-Learning
- Track learner's performance and effectiveness
- Manage content independent from presentation
- Generate tables of content and indexes automatically
e-Commerce
- Quickly reuse existing media assets and content
- Collect strategic information in real-time
- Integrates with existing ERP, CRM and e-commerce systems
Games and community-oriented projects
- Track interaction history
- Save a user's state and restore at will
- Keep high scores
Web Publishing
- Update dynamic content on the fly
- Offer graphically predictable user interfaces
- Not limited by platform and machine dependencies

Powerful but simple
"GG-DBC is a great step for rich-media was architected to fully integrate with the Macromedia Flash, Director, and Authorware authoring environments to minimize the adaptation time and learning curve for new users and current users of our V12 Database Engine alike", said Patrick Griffiths, Product Manager for GG-DBC. "It also allows the use of optional SQL queries, which makes it very appealing to advanced programmers."

The GG-DBC server currently includes a Windows NT/2000 service and a Standard Administrator control panel. It has a tiny footprint, requires little CPU load and interfaces with any ODBC-compliant database server.

Pricing and Availability
GG-DBC is available now for ODBC-compliant databases with free clients for Shockwave® or Director® front-ends. The Authorware® client is available now as a Beta release. The Flash™ client is under development. Visit our web page for announcements in the next few weeks. Pricing is set according to the maximum number of concurrent users on the server, with pricing starting at $ 895 for 20 users, $ 2,495 for 100 users, $ 8,995 for 500 users and $ 14,995 for 2000 users. Upgrades are available to scale from one bracket to another. See http://www.GGdbc.com for details.
