Integration New Media is pleased to announce they will soon release a new version of their flagship product, INM's Impressario Xtra for Macromedia Director. Built using the Adobe Library Technology, Impressario has over the past year become an industry favorite for seamlessly integrating PDF content into Macromedia Director projects. This new release will allow developers to do even more with their PDF content through a combination of new features and improvements to Impressario.
Probably the most anticipated new feature will be the support for multi-line form fields. This feature, along with the new ability to replace bitmap images inside a PDF document, means developers will now be able to customize the content of their PDF documents at runtime from Director.
Another big feature will be the ability to trap and handle Impressario events from Director. This will allow developers to monitor and respond to user interactions with PDF documents, such as popping up a tool tip when the user rolls his mouse over a control, trapping and preventing navigation to certain URLs, or performing an action via Director scripting when a new document or page is loaded.
