It supports a frequently used subset of ADO, so it's easy to use, ADO program experience is not required. With it, you can: access database via standard SQL, access data row by row (so you don't need to worry about a too large query result), and access binary data from/to database via swap file (this means you can store small media files into database). It also provides a utility for connection string building.
