PrimeBase Xtra for Macromedia Director This Xtra provides full access the PrimeBase SQL Database Server. Director applications can connect to servers on the network or use the runtime variant (embedded, in-process) of the SQL server. Because PrimeBase SQL Database Server can be run off of read-only media (CD, DVD, etc.) it is possible to create director movies which use the powerful database features even when run directly from read-only media without any installation steps being required. The builtin full-text indexing functionality of the database engine boosts performance of searches of Director applications even when published on/loaded from CDROM and DVD. The Xtra is available for Windows and MacOS.
